For years we were convincing our sailing guests that part of the sailing among Croatian islands is also about local food and vine and after great feedback, we decided to dedicate one sailing tour to gastronomy. The main feature of Croatian gastronomy is its diversity, but in Dalmatia where we will sail Mediterranean style with local twists is the thing. Our Gastro sailing tour goes even further and will not only give you a chance to try great fresh seafood, lamb, olive oil, renowned Croatian wines, but we take this tour to another level as we actually join local farmers on their farms, fisherman on his boat, winemakers in their vineyards and we also join them in the kitchen where they show us local cooking tradition with all the tricks and tips in a cooking class. Of course, we will not forget it is summer, so secluded bays and crystal clear water will be on our menu all the time.
Our sailing routes are all full of activities, but it is up to each individual to decide the level of participation, You can really get active with full participation in sailing and other maritime skills, swimming, hiking, snorkeling, Suping (Stand up paddling) or You can just relax and enjoy beautiful views from cockpit of the boat with book in one hand and cold drink in another.

Sailing boats all have a twin and double bad cabins. Depends on how many You are and comfort You need, You can choose a boat with 2, 3, 4 or even 5 cabins.
We sail sailing boats from most renowned brands like Beneteau, Jeanneau, Elan, Hanse, Bavaria, Dufour, Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot. They are all modern, fully equipped sailing boats offering as much comfort as one can get.
After picking you up in your hotel or at the airport we will sail to a close by island Šolta, to a small town of Stomorska where we will stay overnight. A short distance from Stomorska lies Kaštelanac, a charming, family-run farm, and vineyard and this is where we will start our unforgettable gastro week. The winery offers renowned rosé and red wine; both derived from the Dobričić grape. Kaštelanac also produces different high-quality olive oils, traditional Dalmatian liquors and a selection of homemade cheeses, marinated fish, pates and other local delicacies that we will have a chance to taste before the dinner.
From Šolta we will sail to the island of Brač, to the famous town Bol. After a day at sea with all the summer fun, we will take a short transfer to a charming restaurant located in an olive orchard. Here we will enjoy olive oil tasting. You will have an opportunity to learn about traditional olive oil production, new techniques and differences in the taste and quality.
After olives and olive oil, we will proceed to the stone gallery of one of the most respectable stone artists in the country. Stone sculptures, architectural elements, and other pieces are sure to amaze you with their beauty, but also with craftsmanship and skill that is needed to create art from solid stone.
After the visit to the gallery, we will take a short enjoyable walk to the restaurant famous for its locally grown lamb meat where we will taste lamb specialties that are in season at the moment.
Finally, we will end with wine tasting in the award-winning winery where we will taste three reds among which the star of Brač wines – Plavac mali.
On the third day, we sail to Stari Grad on the island of Hvar. Agrotourism Pharos is where an unforgettable feast awaits us. In the middle of the UNESCO protected area, we will taste award-winning wines, olive oils, and other Dalmatian delicacies. Rich, four-course menu includes: tasting 3 types of olive oil, cheese, prosciutto, salted and marinated fish, traditional peka meal (meat cooked for several hours with potatoes and spices, in a covered iron pot set on coals), traditional Dalmatian desert; each course paired with a different wine. Apart from enjoying different varieties of Dalmatian delicacies, our hosts will gladly show us around the estate: their old wine cellars, the animals, planted fruit and vegetables and other herbs.
From Stari Grad, we continue our sailing gastro tour to Sv. Nedelja further south on island Hvar, where we will visit one of the Plenković cellars. What is interesting about this cellar is that it is located below sea level. In the basement of the winery, you will have a chance to see an aquarium with fish, many barrique and wooden barrels, as well as archives of award-winning wines. Plenković winery is the most awarded winery in Croatia with a gold medal at the Decanter in London with a variety called Pošip (2010),
After Hvar, it is time to sail South to the unique island of Vis. As the whole area, Vis island is no exception when good food and vine is concerned. The cellars and restaurants have a wonderful aroma that can’t be found anywhere else. Besides the sea’s special allure, the trend of the times is to go to the heart of the island to discover the authentic Vis cuisine.
Some will be enchanted by the fields of green vineyards. Others will linger in the kitchens of the old stone houses, rustically appealing, to observe a different style of cooking, lovingly prepared since our ancestors’ time. Sardines barbecued on the spit, fish flavorful prepared in traditional Dalmatian style brudet, succulent grilled lamb, salted fish`s pie of tomatoes and sardines, and delicious and healthy salads made with fresh garden greens and seafood delights.
We will take to a gastro-sightseeing of the island. A tour where you can try all the culinary specialties the Vis island is famous for.
After breakfast, we must start slowly sailing back North towards Split. But we have one more stop, this time we will visit the producers of one of the finest wines on Dalmatian islands. Senjkovic winery is located in a small picturesque village in the heart of Brač. Surrounded by lush vineyards and lovely Dalmatian style ambiance you’ll get a memorable experience worth saving for the last night. We will taste several of the high-quality wines, perfectly matched with food, while learning about wine production, walk through the vineyards and enjoy the ambiance.
Friday is a relaxed day, reserved for swimming and other water activities, before sailing to our home harbor in Split. Split is the capital of Dalmatia and the status is well deserved. Without hiding their pride, the people of Split will tell you that their city is »the most beautiful in the world.« There is no need to discuss this with them, as the high-spirited city will soon convince you of this. This eternally young city with a population of about 200.000, who give it its warm Mediterranean temper, has lived its urban rhythm for as long as 1,700 years, with its heart in Diocletian’s Palace ant its soul with arms outspread to embrace you. Ever since this time, the city, protected by UNESCO and entered into the register of World Cultural Heritage, has been writing the history of the Croatian south’s unique capital.
