- Only race in the world where you race among 1000 islands
1000 islands race is a perfect answer to renowned offshore races around the Wrold. This is a 2 leg, 600 Nm (2x300Nm) race, that is actually sailed in the area of more than 1000 islands. First leg is from Rijeka in Croatia to Tivat in Montenegro, where there is a short break before everybody arrives and starts in the other direction. Race is really challenging as it was seen in 2014, when many boats had to abandon, due to gale force storms. But that is not all, Race is probably one of the hardest there is in sense of strategy and tactics, as you literally have to sail between 1000 islands and channels between them to reach finish line of each leg. As there are not many restrictions as where you have to sail, it is crucial to find the right route – shortest route is not also the fastest. Race also offers a unique way to see and partially explore this amazing region, as you sail past many amazing islands and natures beauties.
Racing for more than 600 Nm in open sea is a big challenge and physically very demanding. All sailors need previous racing experience, which they will prove with their Sailing verification from their National Sailing Federations.

We meet in Rijeka, where our boat will be waiting. We get familiar with the boat and prepare everything for sailing. In the afternoon we will have short sailing practice, just to get familiar with the boat and to figure out positions and roles of each crew member. We will also have safety briefing and drill.
